Job description :
The Manager, R & D - Quality Management will be responsible for quality management & compliance activities pertaining to emerging technology product development for future payment terminals and solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Responsible for continuous quality improvement, driving quality programs and processes of the company’s major product families including countertop, pin-pad, wireless, multilane, unattended payment station and platform software.
* Lead a team of quality and process experts to define, measure and analyze quality improvement opportunities
* Develop and maintain product test plan, metrics, bug tracking, resolution reporting and product quality reports
* Define metrics and procedures for meeting corporate quality requirements and standards of product quality, manufacturability, DFX, reliability, safety, Telco, security, wireless and environmental compliance
* Champion the use of the best practice quality tools and procedures
* Work with worldwide cross-functional teams, including Development & Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Product Support to ensure delivery of high quality products and international standards and compliance are met.
* Identify critical failures/issues and assist in root cause analysis, providing management escalation, project prioritization. Meanwhile, this person should assess risk and balance the business needs versus quality & safety requirements and drive the projects to final milestone on time and within budget.

Qualifications :
Qualifications
* MS/BS in Engineering or Computer Science
* At least 8 years technical experience in hardware/software/system development or project management; with 3+ years of experience in quality management
* Knowledge of all aspects of the product life cycle, including planning, design, development, manufacturing, procurement, support and end-of-life
* Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to make decisions when needed
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
* Highly flexible with can-do attitude
* Strong knowledge and experience in ISO 9000 standards and certification is a plus
* Technical area management experience is a plus
* Ability to travel internationally (up to 10%)
