Job description :
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, design, build and scale up novel processes for seawater desalination, ranging from laboratory experiments to pilot plants and commercial scale demonstration plants
• Design and fabricate new membrane based seawater desalination modules
• Start up and troubleshoot operations of pilot and demonstration plants
• Analyze data for improvement and provide progress reports
• Start up of commercial manufacturing operations

Qualifications :
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical / Electromechanical/ Chemical Engineering preferably with concentration/experience in the area of water desalination or wastewater treatment. Postgraduate degree will be a plus.
• Preferably with more than seven years of process design and development experience, in one or more of the following:
-Material science
-Process modelling (including CFD), design and control
-Manufacturing, mass assembly and automation
-Process scale up, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Possess original, out-of-the box thinking and problem solving skills
• Good communications skills and good team player, but able to work independently in the field
• Able to travel / be posted overseas for troubleshooting and technology transfer
• Strong preference for candidate with water treatment / desalination experience, particularly with membranes
