Job description :
Responsibilities:
* This position is responsible for all R&D activities in electronics/mechanical/firmware system design and integration of thermal cycler and SDS products using DFSS methodology.
* Research & develop instruments with mathematical modelling of mechanical/electrical/firmware system integration using DFSS methodology
* Design of experiment and test thermal cycler and product system performance from the conceptual design to product launch using DFSS methodology
* Design, develop and test all system testing equipments including Labview application software for R&D testing and support automated manufacturing testing. Lead engineering team to meet measurement system DFSS requirements
* Develop and liaise with vendors on parts manufacturability, technology update for system performance
* Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and 5S requirements

Qualifications :
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering / BioEngineering/Physics with honors or equivalent
* At least 2-3 years of working experience in R&D (Min 5 years' relevant experience for Staff Engineer position)
* Analytical skill in system engineering problem solving
* Good aptitude towards mathematical modelling
* Proficiency in Labview, ProE, Pro-intralink, Mathlab, simulink, OrCAD, PowerPAD, spice software
* Proficiency in high level programming
* Experience in thermal analysis and experimental techniques.
* Understanding of Molecular Biology and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Technology |
