Job description :
The Chef will plan, develop, and implement creative menus that speak to our target customers and promote our fine dining restaurant site and corporate image. The Chef will create, cost, and present each item to an executive panel for approval. He or she is responsible to thoroughly brief and train kitchen staff, and provide training support for the front of the house staff to ensure proper menu execution, maintain recipe adherence and food safety, and control food costs. The Chef will manage an internal team and coordinate with other teams and external vendors. This position controls labour and food costs so as to meet performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales.

Qualifications :
In addition he will § Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking food in the restaurant. § Estimate food consumption, and requisitions or purchases foodstuffs. § Receive and examine foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications. § Select and develops recipes based on type of food to be prepared and applying personal knowledge and experience in food preparation. § Supervise personnel engaged in preparing, cooking, § Cook or otherwise prepares food according to recipe § Will supervise kitchen staff, plan menus, purchase foodstuffs, § Will be responsible for Food Cost maintenance. § Must be able to converse in English and Hindi.
