Job description :
Responsibilities:
* Perform daily system monitoring and operation tasks, assist system administration, planning and technology evolution
* Provide system and technical support to internal users and external partners
* Undertake system and network infrastructure enhancements in-house and with outsourced vendors
* Conduct system implementation, system testing and user acceptance testing
* Set up and conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluation on test-beds for assessing new technology, technical standards and products
* Maintain documentation and develop reports for system implementation and infrastructure changes

Qualifications :
Requirements:
* Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
* At least 5 years experience in system and network support in an ISP, web hosting, network operator or system integrator environment. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant IT Specialist position.
* Proficiency and knowledge in UNIX platforms (esp. Solaris and Linux) and Checkpoint Firewall are a MUST.
* Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, DNS and BIND is a definite advantage
* Administration skills on PC, LAN, Windows desktops and servers, HA/clustering, Apache, Sendmail, J2EE-based application servers and IPS/IDS are an advantage.
* Experience and skills in liaison with third-party vendors and counterparts
* Excellent skills in incident, problem, change and configuration management
* Willing to learn and keep in pace with latest and emerging technologies
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Immediate availability preferred
