Legal Counsel , Hong Kong

Job description :
Key roles & responsibilities: * Supporting Senior Legal Counsel in the areas of corporate governance, compliance and legal issues arising out of operations of the company. * Providing general legal advice to various departments in headquarter in Hong Kong and business units in Macau in a wide range of legal matters. * Reviewing public disclosure materials including press releases, advertising and promotional materials, interviews and articles in Chinese and English. * Preparation of and reviewing commercial agreements. * Co-ordinating the protection of the company's intellectual property rights in Hong Kong, Macau and other jurisdictions, including registration of trademarks and other intellectual property rights. * Co-ordination of legal advice to ensure consistent advice is provided to business managers in various business units. * Instructing and liaising with external counsel on a wide range of legal matters. Handling litigations, arbitrations and other legal proceedings.

Qualifications :
Requirements & qualifications: * Legal qualifications from a common law jurisdiction (HK, UK, New Zealand, Canada or Australia) * A minimum of 3-7 years' post qualifications experience * Experience gained from a reputable international law firm preferred * In-house experience of listed companies/MNC an advantage, preferably with knowledge of US/Macau laws * Keen sense of commercial awareness necessary * Good analytical and problem solving skills * Able to work independently, under pressure and prioritize competing demands * Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written)
