Senior Executive - Monetary Policy Research , Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job description :
Role purpose: * To undertake research into current as well as long term issues that have relevance to the conduct of Monetary Policy in Malaysia Principal accountabilities: * To search and gather various sources of information that is relevant to the issues being considered. * To undertake the appropriate analysis and empirical estimations needed to address the issues being studied. * To produce well written reports and research work. * To assist other economists in other sections on technical issues, where the jobholder has expertise, or by assisting with empirical estimations. * To keep abreast with the latest economic, monetary and financial issues and developments in the domestic and external arena and its implications for the conduct of monetary policy. * To assist Deputy Director and Director in preparing presentations of the research to Senior Management as well as in the dissemination of the research both within and outside the Central Bank.

Qualifications :
Requirements: * Candidate must possess at least a Masters Degree / Bachelor Degree (at least a 2nd Class Upper or equivalent) or professional qualifications in accounting, economics banking or finance background. * Minimum of 3 years related experience would be useful * Credits in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Modern Mathematics at SPM/SPMV Level. * Ability to write well with an excellent command of English will be an added advantage. * Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. * Applicants must be willing to work in Kuala Lumpur.
