Senior Manager - Category Management (Electronics/PCB/Passives)
Role Overview:
* Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
* Takes a lead role in the development of strategic goals and objectives on Material issues. This will include developing and implementing plans to determine strategic sourcing for key ASIC/Electronic suppliers, perform quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers, negotiation with suppliers and routinely communicates with executive management on key supplier strategies.
* Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.
* Assesses supplier capabilities in areas of process technology, capacity planning, cost/ performance, and long term relationships. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain through formal Supplier Selection Process resulting in the choice of long-term strategic supply partners.
* Contractual negotiation with key suppliers required as it relates to long-term supply, security of supply, risk management, capacity assurance, and process change notifications through end of life.
* Responsible for annual and quarterly costs negotiations to achieve cost of sales targets. Responsible for cost reduction opportunities through benchmarking AOP, process/technology improvements, supplier negotiations, and supplier partnerships. Establish QBR metrics, cost/delivery improvement plans, MPA, PPV and contract dispute resolution.
* Directs Commodity Teams in the creation and execution of key sourcing strategies. Commodity teams compose of at a minimum Design Engineering, Product Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering. Determine and direct early supplier or CM involvement for DFM involvement. Secures quotes and delivery for R&D build including specification review and lead-time determination. Coordinates test requirements with Mfg. Eng.
* Manages new product introduction including establishing Supply Chain and First Article qualification and transfer to manufacturing facilities. BOM review and critical component and lead-time determination.
* Interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.

Qualifications :
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent.
* Minimum 10 years experience in related field of which 5 years must be in management capacity.
* High-level understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts and strong supplier management experience required.
* Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing in the areas of mask making, wafer fabrication, bumping technology, sort, fuse repair, package substrate manufacturing and assembly.
* Knowledge or prior experience with respect to data or information exchange throughout supply chain network.
* Developed and implemented Supplier Selection processes with involvement and participation of technical staff.
* Prior experience in leading Commodity Teams successfully is required.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Able to read and write in English and a second language is preferable.
