Job description :
Responsibilities: The candidate will be required to teach in the area of Nursing for Diploma, Degree and Masters programme for the Nursing faculty. The candidate will promote the School and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry and professional communities. The candidate will make an independent contribution through professional practice and expertise and contribute to the Institute’s teaching, research and program development. The candidate is generally responsible for: * Teaching and assessment of students in the area of Nursing at the undergraduate and postgraduate level that is consistent with relevant quality assurance principles for teaching and learning. * Development and evaluation of flexible-delivery course materials, including online materials. * Contributing to building an active research record, including publication and the generation of external research income. * Participating with colleagues in developing and maintaining links and partnerships with industry and the wider community. * Contributing to the growth and development of the School of Nursing. * Undertaking appropriate administrative tasks as and when required. * Comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures as developed by University in accordance with current legislation

Qualifications :
Qualifications: * Registered with Malaysia Nursing Board with Masters or PHD in Nursing from a recognised university. * Possess working experience for a minimum of 5 years Knowledge and Skills: * Capacity to prepare and deliver University teaching and learning in the areas of on and off-campus, lifelong learning and flexible and on-line delivery. * Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership and recent clinical nursing experience. * Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the staff of the Faculty and School and with other members of the University. * Capacity to be a productive member of a research team. * Ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of partnerships with professional associations, the health sector and with domestic and international educational institutions. * Demonstrated commitment to Equal Opportunity principles and practices and Occupational Health and Safety. * Experience in the preparation and delivery of University teaching and learning in the areas of on and off-campus, lifelong learning and flexible and on-line delivery
