Responsibilities:
Duties will include teaching students in classrooms, simulated laboratories, and clinical settings. The job requires teaching Diploma /Degree students in Nursing Programme. Candidate will be required to demonstrates and teach patient care in classroom and clinical units to nursing students.
The candidate will be required to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
* Plans and supervises learner experience in making application in a clinical setting of the principles and techniques of patient care taught them.
* Participates in or conducts formal education programs adapting standard lesson plan content to the needs of the specific trainee group.
* Orients a student nurse of trainee group to the ward area assigned for clinical practice and selects appropriate learning experiences for the group which meet course objectives.
* Evaluates student nurse or trainee proficiency in making application of classroom training in clinical practice and counsels the student or trainee an strengths and weaknesses.
* Conducts group conferences to help students or trainees to share and relate personal clinical experiences to nursing material taught in didactic training.
* Assists a nursing instructor in the presentation of formal classroom instruction to student nurses by performing activities such as readying needed teaching materials, operating audio-visual equipment, monitoring examinations, maintaining attendance and other records and similar tasks.
* May plan and give formal classroom instruction to student nurses in a trainee capacity.
* Conducts demonstration and supervises clinical practice of selected technical procedures.
* Serves as a member of a school of nursing curriculum subcommittee or other group which develops recommendations for the continuing improvement of course objectives, content, methodology and evaluation
