Job description :
Responsibilities: • As the Director of Wireless Networks & Protocol R&D Group responsible in the areas of WiMAX network and protocol development and other 3G/4G networks. • Provide leadership and direction to a group of R&D team in formulating as well as executing strategic R&D plans for MIMOS. • Analyze technology trends requirements, evaluate competitive market alternatives in order to develop effective market-driven solutions that address clients’ present and longer term needs • Work with the various heads of research groups and the business development team to develop a market-driven technology solutions portfolio and a clear technology solutions roadmap for Malaysian and international markets • Develop resource allocation and project plans. • Effectively represent the relevant R&D Group externally with the customers. • Select, motivate and develop competent personnel and develop appropriate R&D organizational structures while ensuring staff clearly understand expectations and performance. • Foster technical innovation in staff members. • Through effective information flow and interaction, develop harmonious working relations within group with other functions, and ensure employees within R&D group have the necessary information and resources to effectively perform their jobs. • Undertake specific projects as designated in support of the Company’s activities. • Tactical management of the R&D department, including resource, budget, talent & training management.

Qualifications :
Requirements: • Candidate must possess at PhD (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. • Have at least 15 years of working experience in the related field. • Strong technical knowledge and work experience in wireless technologies such as WiMAX (IEEE 802.16d/e/j/m), WLAN (IEEE 802.11x), ad-hoc network, Mesh network, cellular (3G and beyond 3G). • Have published papers internationally and participate in Standards Forums. • Has strong problem-solving skills and strong discipline for thoroughness and accuracy. • Experienced in both academic world and industrial experience would be advantage. • Strong management and leadership skills. • Good oral and written communication skills in English
