Interior Design Director - Hospitality , Malaysia

Job description :
• Reports to President and CEO • Responsible for the development of appropriate standards of interior design for hotel resort projects to meet standards of quality, creative style and operating standards of management brands and the Destination Properties group. • Daily activities include briefing consultants on projects, managing ongoing design activities processes with consultants, reporting to executive on status, ongoing management of design and implementation of design in design development processes and in construction phase to handover of finished product including supervision of changes, tender preparations, tender submissions, reviews of interior design tenders with project managers, award of contracts with board approval and supervision with project manager of the implementation of the ID package for each project. Review of progress with project managers with eye on quality of finish, consistency of standards and work progress towards completion on time and on budget. Ability to value engineer final design packages to meet budget and other constraints whilst still achieving standards required.

Qualifications :
• Education: BA in Design, Architecture or related fields • Experience: At least 10 years in locally and international architecture/design related fields preferably with specific experience in hotel/resort design/development/projects, preference for persons with past supervisory role in design development • Special skill: Experience with F&B design is important require • Computer skills required: office software including word, excel, powerpoint, project management software, CAD, AI, PSD and other creative software uses in general practice for design, understanding of internet applications for file storage and management.
