Engineer Network Operations Center , Manila, The Philippines

Job Summary: Performs regular technical operations activities, ensures that all network elements and customer circuits are functioning in accordance with set standards and does corrective measures should circuit outages occur. Responsibilities: * Monitors status of all network and customer circuits via Network Management System * Updates NOC Running Log System in a timely and accurate manner. * In the absence of Helpdesk Officer: * Logs all calls received and made. * Creates Trouble Ticket for every circuit outages and updates accordingly until closure/ completion of restoration. * Performs fault isolation and restoration. * Provides updates to other eMVI groups on status of circuit restoration or activation * Assists other eMVI groups on any relevant operations-related activity. * Configures and performs equipment integrity tests (back-to-back tests when applicable) on equipment before installation. * Maintains records of all circuit test results. * Dispatches Field Installation and Maintenance staff during circuit restoration. * Performs regular back-up schedules of all network systems configurations. * Updates NOC Factbook. * Gathers information and maintains data on current network loading. * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as may be assigned or apparent.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, information technology, or other ICT related field * License in engineering * 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a service-oriented company

Experience :
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Hands-on knowledge of any three of the following: * Local area networks / Wide area networks * VLAN, Ethernet/IP technologies * PDH/SDH/TDM systems * Multiplexers, SDSL/HDSL/ADSL modems, DSLAM, L2/L3 switches, and similar devices * Network management systems * Various test equipment for troubleshooting data communications facilities * Computer literacy with proficiency in Windows and MS Office software suite * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Organizational and communications skills * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to interact effectively with customers, subordinates, and peers * Willingness and readiness to work on shifts or overtime * Desirable: good conversational English
