Job description: - Examine patients, assess condition and prescribe the appropriate treatment in accordance with generally accepted practices. Follow up on patients and ensure that courses of treatment have been properly followed - Where necessary administer first aid in cases of non serious ailments or accidents. In more serious cases ensure the patient is properly referred to the necessary specialized unit - Control and record all medical supplies including ordering, usage logs, expiry dates, etc - Monitor ongoing health issues within the company and alert management of any internal or external trends in health issues - Keep abreast of current medical practices and techniques and advise staff on their application as appropriate - Initiate programs of preventative healthcare to ensure the ongoing wellbeing of the workforce - Organise annual health checks for all employees including selection of and liaison with external health service providers, patient feedback and treatment of identified health issues - Liaise with Human Resource department and external healthcare providers to conduct health checks on all potential candidates for employment. - Work with external agencies to ensure diseases is not spread and to educate employees in disease diagnosis and prevention
