Job description :
JOB PURPOSE: Provide sound legal counsel to the Company on all legal matters to ensure protection against legal exposure and liability and provide sound legal risk assessment which will facilitate management decision making. JOB CONTEXT: Keep pace with new statutes and legal processes and any changes thereof, both locally and internationally, that may have a legal or financial impact on the company. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: - Internal: All General Assembly and Board of Directors, VP’s, General Managers, and Managers, to provide legal advice on an ongoing basis. - External: All National and International partners, in order to advise top management on the best way forward, as and when required. Interacts with Ministries, government agencies, judicial courts, and regulatory bodies in order to solve legal problems and ensure due legal processes are complied with. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY: - Scope : Advice provided on all legal aspects of decisions, both National and International. - Decision Making: Advise on all legal matters affecting the company

Qualifications :
Job Requirement: - Min. Qualifications: A good law degree with sound knowledge of various laws e.g. Commercial laws like Trademarks, Public Relations, Industries law, Company law, Labour law, Trade Marks etc. - Min. Experience: At least 15 years of Legal exposure in a relevant field, including at least 10 years as a legal counsel. - Generic Skills: Good English - Communication skills (verbal and written), Computer Literacy. - Job Specific Skills: Good evaluation and judgemental skills, good recall and cross referencing skills, ability to provide spot advice, Legal drafting skills, good interpretation skills, etc.
