Job description: CARE International in Vietnam is seeking one national consultant to produce joint innovative IEC materials that will be used by JANI partners as reference materials in their CBDRM programs. ** Project Description: - The Joint Advocacy Network Initiative (JANI) is a joint project, coordinated by CARE International in Vietnam, involving a number of NGOs. The project's specific objective is to strengthen the community based disaster risk management (CBDRM) advocacy and implementation through effective networking and joint initiatives. ** Scope of Consultancy work: - The Consultant will review the IEC materials produced by JANI partners in its first phase; attend regular JANI meetings to discuss ideas and progress with partners and come up with the most innovative type and contents of IEC materials that JANI partners agree to use as the joint/common one to advocate for CBDRM in Vietnam. ** Key responsibilities of the Consultant: * Work with CARE JANI partners on the selection criteria for innovative IEC materials. * Liaison with partners and collect the existing IEC materials on CBDRM that have been produced in the first phase. * Review and assess the collected IEC materials on the selection criteria * Discuss and collect comments and ideas from JANI partners to come up with the initial innovative type and content of materials through JANI regular meetings, face-to-face discussions, etc. * Develop key contents, type and layout of the new innovative materials * Meet with all partners to share the first draft of the IEC materials for their comments * Test the material * Finalise the innovative IEC material * In addition, suggest the most interesting IEC material for further printing and distribution. ** Key expected outputs: * A set of selection criteria for innovative IEC materials * A set of IEC materials collected for assessment * A draft of the innovative IEC materials developed, shared widely and comments collected. The draft has clear messages that target a specific group. * An innovative IEC material had its design and contents tested and finalised. * In addition, most interesting IEC material suggested for more printouts and distributions.
