This position is concerned with maintaining an effective department as measured by the Balance Scorecard in the four key areas: Customer, People, Quality and Profit Primarily responsible and concerned with MICE clients and market segments, ensuring that sales incentive targets are met and to maintain relationships with current clientele and proactively seek new business opportunities. To maximize MICE market segment revenue generation for the hotel through the creation and fostering of key business contacts and relationships with decision markers and key people across a broad range of industries. Managing key business contacts and maintaining relationships in order to create new business opportunities and transform potential business into actual materialization. Take a proactive role in the fulfillment long and short term business development strategies. Responsible for the communication and realization of developed strategies through to current and potential clientele. Responsible for reaching set targets and objectives, through planned activities and business management. Responsible for managing databases, information and contacts, creating a sustainable work environment and managing time effectively. Effectively communicating with clients and team members while outside the office, Evaluate current and future business opportunities and trends, assessing feasibility and viability of markets, through continued feedback and guest / client interaction; informing DOS of trends, changes and shifts using active intelligence and analysis. End Result: optimal sales and profit conversions.
