Job description :
One of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world working in developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas wishes to appoint a Thailand Country Director. Around the world the organization employs 8,000 staff and directly supports more than 1,500,000 children and their families, and indirectly supports an estimated further 9,000,000 people who live in communities that are working with the organization.
The Country Director reports to the Regional Director and will:
Lead the Country Management Team
Manage and develop competent and committed human resources.
Ensure learning, evaluation, continuous improvement and technical assistance in an integral part of each domain
Direct and manage country operations
Manage the development, review and approval, implementation and evaluation of the Country Strategic Plan.
Build productive contacts and relations across Plan countries, Regions, Intl HQ, National Organizations and with other organizations to incorporate best practices and learning into country operations.
Direct and manage policies, procedures and legal requirements for in-country operations.
Participate in the management and development of the organization as a whole.
Build and manage relationship within Plan, with government and with other organizations to optimize marketing and grant funding opportunities.
Act as a representative towards the donor missions, delegations and embassies in their countries on behalf of Plan.

Qualifications :
Qualifications and skills required:
Age around 40 - 55 years
Degree in Development Administration or other related field; Post-Graduate degree preferred
At least 8 years experience in managing development projects including fund-raising
Demonstrated record of management experience in program, communication, finance, human resource, and fund development
Excellent organization, monitoring, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Comfortable to take extensive travel both within Thailand and Asia-Pacific region
Good command of written and spoken English; willingness to learn another language
