Job Scope:
Take active leadership on advising the international business headquarter in respect of all cross border tax issues associated with the company’s business and transactions. You will also be expected to take a proactive leadership role in tax planning initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
* Advising international business headquarter on tax implications of various deals and transactions including withholding taxes, treaty benefits and formulating strategies to resolve tax disputes, as well as assisting in the implementation of global transfer pricing policies
* Support HQ in researching and implementing tax positions and where necessary, provide supports in global or regional M&A activities
* Builds & maintains relationships with authorities, advisors and internal employees, in line with global tax strategy, in order to influence changes in regulations concerning tax planning and realizing high quality advice, operational excellence, accuracy and compliance with global policy
* Ensures that projects concerning tax planning are realized and initiatives are taken, in line with Global tax strategy, in order to achieve timely realisation and a high level of innovation and impact for the business
* Assist with internal tax processes including supporting countries in internal audits and process improvements where needed
* Represent the organization to be the key contact personnel in all tax matters, dealing with government and country tax authorities, external consultants and lawyers
* Keep abreast of current taxation developments and ensure proper and effective communication to the organization

Qualifications :
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent; Master's Degree an advantage
* Minimum 8 years tax experience, 4 in a regular corporate tax role; those with higher years of experience would be recruited as a Tax Director
* CPA, ACCA, CIMA or tax certification preferred
* Preferably with regional experience in a commercial entity
* Must have tax planning and compliance experiences
* Able to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment

Experience :
Must possess at least one of the following:
* Experienced with various internal reporting including SOX, ETR, FIN 48 and other tax reporting
* Strong in accounting and Singapore GAAP knowledge
* At least 5 years experience in working knowledge in FAS 109 and FIN 48 concepts
Candidates with only Big 4 experience or lacking in regional exposure can present their credentials to be considered for other tax positions.
